Hughie, a son of Quincy, came to Brookehaven as an awkward adolescent of less than a year of age. As a teen he acquired a Specialty Best In Sweepstakes award, a few months later a Junior in Sweeps win, and then his majors soon followed.
Hughie eventually was placed with Terry Hansen of “Pinemeade” in California to embark upon a wonderful and successful career as a Special.
